On Friday, October 17, Green Council members distributed 41 recycling bins throughout the Science building and Torry Hall. Insuring for the first time in recent memory a recycling program in campus classrooms.

Green Council and Epsilon Sigma Alpha partnered up on Sunday, November 9 for a Community Clean-up. 15 bags of trash were collected and everyone gathered in Portside after the clean-up for Organic refreshments provided by the Whole Life Food Market and Dunkin Donunts.

Currently we are working on promoting the 'Bring Your Own Mug" program. A program that encourages students to bring there own reusable mug to replace paper cups used by Aramark. Following thanksgiving break, Green Council will be distributing ceramic mugs at no cost, and Aramark will provide cost benefits to students who choose to use these mugs in place of paper cups.
Green Council members recently approved the concept design for member apparel. A long sleve tee-shirt featuring UMM's recycling symbol and the Green Council seal.
